LOGLINE

The story of Sergio Vatta, the most influent italian coach of young soccer players and his unconventional idea of soccer and sport.

SINOPSIS

Sergio Vatta in the ’80 and ’90 was the coach of the Torino FC youth soccer team. He dominated the category competition in the whole Europe and he invented a new approach in sport education. Following him in the places where he used to train his teams, we learn why he always refused to train the first division teams and the money they were offering him.

Champions like Dino Baggio and Demetrio Albertini help us to better understand his sport philosophy and his unique didactic approach.
We also follow the trainings of a youth team of today Torino FC, trained by his ex player Benedetti. We run in the playground close to these guys to understand how they prepare to follow their dreams.
The film become a discourse about sport, education and soccer, about what it is today and what it could have been.
